On acceptance of your order, we agree to sell to you and you agree to purchase from us the products specified in the contract terms.



Under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 and Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 it is an implied term in the contract that the products will correspond to their description. The description is essentially as set out in our website and catalogue at the time of order, but there may be minor variations in specification, colour or other features between that description and the product received.




Where you are a consumer, then you have the right to cancel the contract for any products without giving any reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Payments) Regulations 2013 (the "Cancellation Regulations"), on and subject to the terms detailed below. This right is in addition to your statutory rights for faulty or mis-described products. If you are a business then we also give you a right to cancel the contract for any products without giving any reason in accordance with the terms detailed below.

You may exercise your right to cancel at any time up to the time stated below (the "cancellation deadline"). The cancellation deadline is 14 days after delivery of the products. For consumers, the Cancellation Regulations in fact allow you only 14 days, but we agree to extend this to 14 days as an additional benefit to you. If the contract covers multiple products, then the cancellation period runs from the delivery of the last of those products.

Delivery & Returns 

Returns Time Frame 

Once a Purchase has been made under UK Law you have 14 days from date of purchase to notify us if you change your mind and wish to return the goods. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods to us. 

Delivery Address

Delivery of the products will take place at the delivery address. Please note that we only deliver to addresses located within the United Kingdom (including Northern Ireland) and such other places as may be stated in any delivery information on our website.

Delivery Days

We only deliver on working days, being Monday to Friday, excluding public and bank holidays, within the working hours specified on our web site, or if not specified, between 8am and 6pm. Any statements as to delivery within a number of days should be read as working days, and if a bank or other public holiday falls within any delivery period then you should allow an extra two working days for delivery. We cannot deliver next-day or same-day on direct delivery goods.

Delivery Timescales

We will use reasonable efforts to deliver the products by the delivery dates or within the delivery timescales stated in the other contract terms. If no delivery date or timescale is stated, then delivery will be made without undue delay and no later than 30 days beginning with the day the contract was entered into. If we are not able to make a delivery date, we will let you know, and offer you an alternative delivery date. Under normal circumstances orders made before 14:00 will be dispatched the same working day (Standard and Express) 


To Return an item within 14 Days of purchase, you must email us at sales@jacslightingco.uk explaining the reason for the return. When returning a product, you must put in the following information;

Condition of products returned

If you handle the products beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the products then you are obliged to pay to us the amount by which the value of the products has been diminished as a result, up to, but no more than, the original price of the products. This includes if you return the products with damage that was not present on delivery, or missing anything that was present on delivery. You agree to pay such amount on demand, and you agree that that we may deduct such amount from any refund which we are obliged to make to you.

Please note – when returning a product, it must be returned in ‘as new’ condition, with all components included, in their original packaging, if this is not adhered to, you may be charged for this, details can be found below. Please note that delivery revenue is nonrefundable. 

Change of Mind

If you are returning your order due to change of mind, you will be liable for all return’s costs and must use registered post or a courier service which provides sufficient insurance to cover the value of the items you are returning.

Once your item has been returned, a fair assessment will be completed by a member of our returns team, any missing parts or damage to the product, will result in the equivalent deduction in your refund amount issued (as detailed below), this will be assessed on a case by case basis. Please note that delivery revenue is nonrefundable. 

Handling Charge - If you fail to comply with the above requirements, we reserve the right to charge you a minimum of 15% of the original order value.

Collection Service - We can collect any unwanted goods, at a cost of £10, this can be arranged by contacting us at the relevant email address provided above.

Faulty Goods

In the unlikely event the product you have purchased develops a fault within 14 days, please contact us the first instance and we may be able to help trouble shoot any faults, or guide you to the relevant manufacturer, this could prevent any avoidable returns to us, also saving you the cost of returning the item to us if it turns out to be in full working order.

If your product develops a fault within the first 14 days and the manufacturer has requested the item be returned, we will arrange to collect the faulty unit and this will be thoroughly tested by our returns team, who will determine if the product is defective.

If your product is deemed defective and a warranty issue, only then is a refund or replacement applied.

Please also ensure that your product is packaged and re-sealed correctly with all original packaging intact, as we cannot accept liability for any damage in transit.

Handling Charge - If you fail to comply with the above requirements, we reserve the right to charge you a minimum of 15% of the original order value.

This does not affect your statutory rights.


If you are a consumer and you cancel this contract in respect of a product, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you under the contract with respect to such product, including the price, delivery charges and any other charges; but if you chose a type of delivery which costs more than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us for your delivery address, then we will not be obliged to refund you any additional delivery charges in excess of the cost of such standard delivery.

How your refund will be given

We will make the refund using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise, or it is not possible.

Manufacturer's Warranty

Where the products include a manufacturer warranty or guarantee which the manufacturer of the products offers direct to its end-customer, then it is your responsibility to register that manufacturer warranty with the manufacturer, following any instructions which come with the products, and we do not assume any liability or responsibility ourselves under such warranty. Any claims you make under it must be made directly by you to the manufacturer.


We shall be entitled to vary the contract, or to cancel the contract, as a whole or in respect of any products, at our option, if any of the following applies: we do not have the products in stock at all or in a fit state to supply to you; or we find we not have sufficient products in stock to meet all our orders from all our customers; or the cost of acquiring the products to supply to you is higher than when your order was accepted by us; we are not able to obtain the products from our suppliers at all or in time to meet the delivery timescales; the contract terms (including our website or catalogue, or your order) contained any error, including in relation to the description or price of any of the products; or we have not received payment in full of or are unable to obtain authorisation for payment of the charges and other amounts payable by you.

General Terms & Conditions


We will make every effort to ensure your delivery arrives on time. Sometimes, due to circumstances beyond our control, deliveries are delayed. Should this happen we will do our level best to get your goods to you as soon as possible and minimise any inconvenience. Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for any consequential losses.

Next-day areas: orders placed on a Friday before 12pm will be delivered the following Monday. Orders placed on Saturday will be delivered the following Tuesday. Orders placed on a Sunday via the website will be delivered the following Tuesday.

Overnight delivery service excludes Aberdeen, parts of Glasgow, Inverness, Kilmarnock, Dundee, Truro, Highlands, Channel Islands, and other offshore islands. Delivery is free in Mainland UK when your order totals £50 or more, otherwise add £2.99 for delivery. Channel Islands, Scottish Islands and Northern Ireland the delivery charge is £15.00.

All orders made before 14:00 (Monday - Friday) are dispatched that day. Any orders made after 14:00 will be dispatched the next working day (Monday - Friday) 

Price Promise 

Smart Lighting Price Promise applies where products are exactly the same, in stock at the alternative supplier and available under a current equivalent offer. Evidence may be requested.

Liability and Indemnity

We will not be liable to any user for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, even if foreseeable, arising under or in connection with:

  • use of, or inability to use, our site; or
  • use of or reliance on any content displayed on our site.

Please note in particular, we will not be liable for:

  • loss of profits, sales, business or revenue;
  • business interruption;
  • loss of anticipated savings;
  • loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation; or
  • indirect or consequential loss or damage.

We will use reasonable endeavours to verify the accuracy of any information on the site but we make no representation or warranty of any kind express or implied statutory or otherwise regarding the contents or availability of the site or that it will be timely or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the site or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs or represents the full functionality, accuracy, reliability of the website.


Every effort is made to prevent any Pricing errors. Should one occur, we would advise you when ordering and proceed with the correct details. We try to ensure that we have adequate stocks of all regular and promotional products. However, we may at times need to substitute or withdraw promotional items. Substitutions will be of an equal or higher value. We will endeavour to advise you at the time of ordering. The prices set out in this catalogue are correct at time of going to press. We will advise you of any price alterations applicable. This does not affect our returns guarantee.

Stock Holding/Delay in Order 

On Occasion we may be in a position where we cannot full fill your order due to stock shortages etc, If this is the case we will contact you via email to let you know of the delay and will try our best to get this ordered and dispatched as fast as we can giving you an estimated time frame. To speed things up and avoid delays we may offer you an alternative product of a Similar specification and it is your right to accept this or to reject this. You have the right to cancel if you do not wish to wait and a full refund will be issued.
